The 2026 World Cup Is Coming to Peacock — And June Is Absolutely Stacked.

Peacock is going all-in on the 2026 FIFA World Cup. From the opening ceremony on June 11 through a full slate of Round of 32 fixtures by month's end, the streamer has scheduled wall-to-wall coverage — and if you're not already subscribed, this is probably the month that changes your mind.

The tournament kicks off June 11 with Mexico vs. South Africa and South Korea vs. Czechia. From there, the group stage rolls out across nearly three weeks of football, with multiple matches per day during the peak stretch and Spanish-language coverage running alongside English broadcasts throughout.

The matches worth circling

Group stage highlights are plentiful. USA vs. Paraguay (June 12) is the obvious one for American audiences — the host nation's opener, with all the pressure and scrutiny that comes with it. Brazil vs. Morocco (June 13) is the kind of neutral-friendly fixture that tends to actually deliver. England vs. Croatia (June 17) is a rematch of the 2018 World Cup semifinal, which Croatia won. England fans haven't forgotten. Croatia probably haven't either.

Argentina vs. Algeria (June 16), France vs. Senegal (June 16), Portugal vs. DR Congo (June 17) — the defending champion and two European heavyweights all in action within 48 hours. That's a stretch that will stress-test anyone's sleep schedule.

Türkiye vs. USA lands on June 25, which could be a group decider depending on how both teams' earlier results shake out. If the USA stumble against Paraguay, that fixture gets uncomfortably high-stakes in a hurry.

Round of 32 arrives before July

The knockout phase begins June 28, with the Round of 32 running through June 30. That's earlier than many World Cup formats have historically delivered elimination football, a consequence of the expanded 48-team tournament structure. More teams, more matches, faster drama.

Beyond the World Cup, Peacock's June sports calendar also includes the U.S. Open Golf, WNBA, MLB, and a USA vs. Germany men's friendly on June 6 — useful warm-up viewing before the real thing begins five days later.

For anyone tracking group stage odds and trying to map out bracket scenarios, the sheer volume of matches in a condensed window means form lines can shift fast. A surprise result on June 13 can completely redraw the calculus by June 18. That's what makes this format volatile — and compelling.

The opening ceremony streams June 11. Set a reminder.
