Son Heung-Min Girlfriend 2026: Is He Dating Now?.

Son Heung-min is keeping his focus exactly where it's always been - on the football pitch. The 33-year-old LAFC star has made it clear that romance takes a backseat to his career, and heading into the 2026 MLS season, nothing has changed on that front.

As LAFC prepares to kick off their MLS campaign on February 21 against Lionel Messi's Inter Miami at the LA Memorial Coliseum, fans are curious about Son's personal life. The short answer? He's single and planning to stay that way for now.

Son has been following advice from his father for years now. Back in 2019, his dad recommended postponing marriage until retirement, and Son fully agrees with that wisdom. "My father says this, and I agree, as well," Son explained. "When you marry, the number one will be family, wife, and kids, and then football."

The Blackpink Jisoo Rumors

Some rumors linked Son to Blackpink member Jisoo back in 2019, creating quite a buzz among fans. However, those rumors were debunked over time, and there's been no concrete evidence of any relationship. Currently, all signs point to Son being completely single.

The Korean forward doesn't have children either, which aligns with his commitment to keeping football as his number one priority. "I want to make sure that while I play at the top level, football can be number one," he stated clearly.

LAFC's Hot Start and What's Ahead

Son's dedication is paying off on the field. After arriving in Los Angeles last summer, he made an immediate splash with 12 goals and three assists in just 13 games during half a season. Those are the kind of numbers that get bettors excited.

LAFC started 2026 strong, crushing Real Espana 6-1 in the first leg of the Concacaf Champions Cup round of 32. With Son in this kind of form and fully focused, LAFC looks dangerous heading into their MLS opener against Inter Miami.

Now at 33 years old, Son might soon be reconsidering those family plans he's put on hold. "When you retire, or when you are 33 or 34, you can still have a long life with your family," he noted. But for now, it's all about making fans happy by playing at the highest level possible.

The matchup against Messi's Inter Miami will be Son's first full MLS tournament experience. If his half-season performance is any indication, this could be a special year for both Son and LAFC supporters.
