Copa del Rey First-Round Matches Postponed Following Deadly Train Crash in Spain.

The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has postponed all 24 Copa del Rey first-round matches scheduled for Wednesday, October 28, after a deadly train crash in Toledo province earlier that day left dozens of people dead.

The crash disrupted rail services between Madrid and Andalusia, affecting travel for several teams and their fans, which led the RFEF to call off the entire round rather than individual fixtures.

The second-round draw had originally been scheduled for November 10, and the RFEF believes there is enough time to reschedule all 24 postponed matches without disrupting that next round.
