Michael Olise Suspended, Handing Arsenal a Boost Before Bayern Munich Clash.

Arsenal have been handed a notable boost ahead of their Champions League trip to Bayern Munich next week, after winger Michael Olise was sent off during Bayern's 3-3 draw with Viking and will serve a one-match suspension for the fixture.

Both sides were in Champions League action on Tuesday. Arsenal beat Lille 3-0 at the Emirates Stadium, with goals from Jurriën Timber, Eberechi Eze and Bukayo Saka lifting Mikel Arteta's side to third in the Champions League table, according to football.london.

Bayern, meanwhile, had a difficult night away to Viking in Norway. Gianni Stensness put the hosts ahead after just two minutes, and Peter Christiansen doubled their lead before half-time. Harry Kane's double and a goal from Luis Díaz turned the game around to put Bayern 3-2 up, but Herman Haughen's late equaliser secured a 3-3 draw for Viking under Vincent Kompany.

Olise's night ended in further frustration around 15 minutes before full-time. He had already been booked for dragging Henrik Heggenheim back by the waist after losing the ball, then picked up the ball following his caution and threw it into the face of Viking captain Zlatko Tripić. Viking players, including Kristoffer Askildsen and Henrik Falchener, confronted Olise as the home side protested, before referee Georgi Kabakov showed him a second yellow card and a red.

The dismissal was the first red card of Olise's career and means he will miss Bayern's Champions League meeting with Arsenal at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday, October 21. The Frenchman has scored two Champions League goals and provided an assist for Kompany's side this season, alongside four goals and two assists in the Bundesliga.

Arsenal's focus turns first to the Premier League, with Arteta's side travelling to face Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Sunday, October 18, before the trip to face Bayern Munich without Olise.
