Messi Leads MLS Jersey Sales Chart for Fourth Consecutive Year.

Lionel Messi has topped Major League Soccer's best-selling player jersey rankings for the fourth consecutive year, according to figures released by MLS on November 3. The rankings cover online sales through MLSstore.com between January 1 and October 30, 2026.

The Inter Miami captain finished ahead of Son Heung-min of Los Angeles FC, who took second place, and Vancouver Whitecaps' Thomas Muller in third. Chicago Fire striker Robert Lewandowski claimed fourth position, with Antoine Griezmann of Orlando City rounding out the top five.

The rest of the top 10 featured young American prospect Cavan Sullivan in sixth, LAFC's Denis Bouanga in seventh, Inter Miami's Luis Suarez in eighth, Nashville SC's Hany Mukhtar in ninth and Rodrigo De Paul in tenth.

Messi, who joined Inter Miami in 2023, has held the top spot in the jersey sales list every year since his arrival in the United States.

Lewandowski's Chicago Fire Impact

One notable detail from this year's figures involves Lewandowski, who moved to Chicago Fire in June. Despite finishing fourth overall for the full reporting period, his jersey was the league's best-selling shirt from the time of his arrival through the end of October.

Inter Miami's Strong Showing

Inter Miami placed three players in the top 10, with Messi, Suarez and De Paul occupying the first, eighth and tenth spots respectively. Messi's commercial standing is also tied to his lifetime partnership with Adidas, signed in 2017.

MLS has not disclosed the exact number of jerseys sold or the revenue generated by the rankings.
