Le Havre supporter groups are calling for the club's American owners, Blue Crow Sports Group, to leave, as the Ligue 1 club sits bottom of the table with two points from nine matches and began the week without a coach or a president.
The turmoil followed a 5-1 loss to leader Paris Saint-Germain over the weekend. In its wake, Le Havre suspended head coach Didier Digard, and Blue Crow's board members accepted the resignation of president Jean-Michel Roussier. The resignation is set to be formally presented and ratified on Thursday, the club said. Roussier had led Le Havre since 2022, while Digard was appointed in the summer of 2024.
French media have also reported that sports director Demba Ba and goalkeeping coach Nicolas Douchez are on their way out of the club. Blue Crow Sports Group, based in Houston, acquired Le Havre in July 2025 as part of its multi-club portfolio.
Three supporter groups issued a joint statement saying that in just a few days, everyone who embodied the club and helped it return to and stay in Ligue 1 had disappeared from its organizational structure. "Blue Crow represents nothing in Le Havre," they said, adding that the group has dismantled the club and shows, with each passing day, a complete lack of understanding of how to run a football club, its history and its identity, and that the looming catastrophe is entirely its responsibility.
Le Havre has named academy director Jaïr Karam as interim coach, while Yacine Alaoui will oversee administrative and sporting activities until a new chairman and CEO are appointed.
A former Le Havre player, Digard kept the team in the top flight over the past two seasons, finishing his spell with a record of 17 wins, 20 draws and 40 losses, according to Ligue 1 statistics.
Le Havre's next match is against Lorient on Sunday. The supporter groups said that with the crucial fixture approaching, the united front built between players, the manager and the Kop following the PSG match has now been shattered.
