Dolores Aveiro — Ronaldo's mother, one of the most recognisable figures in his public life — responded to her son's wedding announcement with a heart emoji. His sister Katia did similarly online. Warm reactions, yes. But neither was in the room.
Portuguese TV presenter Cristina Ferreira suggested Ronaldo's family may have found out about the ceremony shortly before it happened. Ronaldo pushed back by saying her channel knew "very little" — which isn't exactly a denial that his own relatives were kept in the dark until close to the last minute.
