2026 World Cup Round of 16: Today's Matches, Kickoff Times, and How to Stream.

Two more teams get knocked out today. The 2026 FIFA World Cup Round of 16 continues on July 7th with Egypt vs. Argentina (12 p.m. ET, Atlanta) and Switzerland vs. Colombia (4 p.m. ET, Vancouver) — and both have genuine quarter-final implications worth paying attention to.

Argentina are the obvious draw. Any match involving the defending champions carries weight, and Egypt will need to be sharper than their group stage performances suggested. On the other side of the bracket, Switzerland and Colombia is a tighter call — two tactically disciplined sides where a single goal could be enough.

How to watch — and what it'll cost you

In the US, Fox is your home for both matches. If you don't have cable, here's what actually makes sense:

  • Fox One — $20/month, streams every Fox match in one place. The cleanest option if you only want the World Cup.
  • Fubo — $45.99 for the first month, covers Fox and FS1. There's also a $5/month 4K add-on if picture quality matters to you.
  • Sling Select — $30/month, gets you Fox and FS1 without much else. Cheapest straightforward option.
  • YouTube TV Sports package — $65/month, a recent addition that undercuts the full $83 plan.
  • DirecTV — MySports base pack at $50/month for the first two months covers what you need.
  • Hulu — $90/month, which is hard to justify unless you're already subscribed for other content.

Spanish-language coverage sits with NBCUniversal. Telemundo carries 92 games, Universo the remaining 12 — both accessible through Peacock Premium at $10.99/month.

Free streaming options do exist

FIFA+ will stream select matches at no cost on their website. YouTube has a deal with rights holders to broadcast the first 10 minutes of games and a handful of full matches for free. Tubi — Fox's free streamer — showed the June 11 and June 12 opener matches without a subscription, though that offer doesn't extend across the whole tournament.

FuboTV's 7-day free trial and Hulu's 3-day trial can cover a few knockout games if you time them right. A VPN can also open up free broadcasts from BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, RTVE Play, and others — though compatibility isn't guaranteed and can change without notice.

The quarter-finals are already starting to take shape. France vs. Morocco is locked in for July 9 in Boston. Norway vs. England follows on July 11 in Miami. Today's results will fill in two of the remaining slots — and Argentina's odds of reaching the semi-finals shift significantly depending on how they handle Egypt's defensive setup this afternoon.
