2026 World Cup Round of 16: Spain vs Portugal and USA vs Belgium — How to Watch Today.

Two of the most compelling Round of 16 matchups in years land on the same day. Spain face Portugal at Dallas Stadium at 3 p.m. ET, and three hours later, the USA take on Belgium in Seattle. One nation's World Cup ends tonight. Possibly two.

If you're not near a TV with cable, there are several ways to catch both matches — some of them free.

How to stream the 2026 World Cup

In the US, Fox holds the broadcast rights for all knockout stage games, with FS1 carrying an additional 34 matches. Spanish-language viewers can find coverage on Telemundo (92 games) and Universo (12 games), both under NBCUniversal.

For cord-cutters, the options range from cheap to eyewatering:

  • Fox One — Fox's own app covers every match for $20/month. The simplest option if you just want the games.
  • Sling Select — $30/month, gets you Fox and FS1.
  • Fubo — $45.99 for the first month, $55.99 after. A $5/month add-on unlocks 4K streams.
  • DirecTV — The $50 MySports base pack covers Fox and FS1 for the first two months.
  • YouTube TV — The Sports package comes in at $65/month, down from the standard $83.
  • Hulu — $90/month for Fox and FS1. Spanish-language add-ons stack on top.
  • Peacock Premium — $10.99/month, required for Telemundo and Universo coverage.

Free trials exist. Fubo offers seven days, Hulu three. Neither gets you through the whole tournament, but they'll cover today's matches comfortably if you sign up now.

Free streaming options worth knowing

FIFA+ will stream select matches at no cost on their website. YouTube secured a deal with FIFA to broadcast the first 10 minutes of games and a handful of full matches for free. Tubi, Fox's free streaming platform, aired the June 11 Mexico vs. South Africa and June 12 US vs. Paraguay openers — though there's no guarantee it carries today's knockout ties.

A VPN opens up additional free routes. BBC iPlayer and ITV Hub in the UK, TF1 Player and L'Equipe TV in France, RTVE Play in Spain, and RTÉ Player in Ireland all carry World Cup coverage. Proton VPN and TunnelBear both offer free tiers. VPN compatibility with streaming platforms can change without notice, so treat it as a bonus option rather than a primary plan.

Today's Round of 16 schedule also includes Egypt vs. Argentina on July 7 at 12 p.m. ET in Atlanta, and Switzerland vs. Colombia at 4 p.m. ET in Vancouver. The quarter-finals begin July 9, with France vs. Morocco in Boston kicking things off. The final is set for July 19.

Spain and Portugal sharing a knockout bracket was always going to produce this. Whoever survives Dallas faces a quarter-final against an opponent still to be determined — but the easier path through the draw likely ends tonight for one Iberian nation.
