Kylian Mbappé and Erling Haaland share the throne. EA Sports FC 27's top player ratings are out, and the two most lethal forwards on the planet both land an Overall Rating of 91 — the highest in the game.

Mbappé edges it at number one, with Haaland directly behind him. After that, third goes to a City teammate listed as Rhodri — almost certainly a placeholder or error in the original reveal — and PSG's Ousmane Dembélé slots into fourth. The top five is unashamedly striker-heavy, which probably reflects where goals and game-winning moments are carrying the most weight in EA's data model.

Where England's men land

Harry Kane is the highest-ranked England man at sixth — fair, given his scoring numbers at Bayern remain elite. Jude Bellingham checks in at 11th for Real Madrid, sitting just below Barcelona's teenage sensation Lamine Yamal at tenth. Declan Rice rounds out the notable England contingent at 21st, which feels about right for a midfielder who controls games without always producing the flashy stats that drive ratings upward.

Kane at sixth, Bellingham at 11th — if you're putting together an England-only squad on the game, you've got two players the algorithm genuinely rates among the world's best. That's not nothing.

Putellas leads the women's game

On the women's side, Alexia Putellas — now at London City Lionesses — holds her position at the top with a matching OVR of 91. The Lionesses have genuine representation across the rankings: Alessia Russo comes in at 13th for Arsenal, Lauren Hemp at 24th for Man City, and goalkeeper Hannah Hampton at 27th.

For anyone playing the women's game competitively in FC 27, Russo and Hemp give English clubs real currency.

EA Sports FC 27 launches on September 25, 2026, with Early Access kicking off a week earlier on September 18. The full ratings cover 21,000+ players across 800+ clubs, 140 stadiums and 35+ leagues — so the arguments about who got snubbed are only just beginning.
