UT Tyler just announced their 2026 Hall of Fame class, and Brittany Mahomes is heading in. She'll be inducted alongside Dr. Howard Patterson and the entire 2016 Softball Team as part of the sixth class in the UT Tyler Athletics Hall of Fame.
Director of Athletics Sam Ferguson didn't hold back his excitement. "The 2026 UT Tyler Hall of Fame class is truly elite," he said, and he's got good reason to feel that way.
A Soccer Career That Speaks for Itself
Brittany wasn't just good at UT Tyler from 2013 to 2016—she was absolutely dominant. She finished second all-time in total points with 78 and second in goals with 31. That's the kind of production that wins games.
She also sits third in game-winning goals with 10 and assists with 16. Plus, she tied for third in total games played at 74, showing incredible consistency throughout her college career.
But her senior season in 2016? That's when she really turned it up. She set program records with 40 points, 18 goals, and seven game-winning goals in a single season.
What Makes This Honor Special
Ferguson highlighted that Brittany's impact goes way beyond her playing days. "Her career pales in comparison to the incredible work she has been doing to advance women in sport," he explained.
The numbers from her playing days are still jaw-dropping though. She had four separate matches where she scored three goals—a hat trick four times in her career. That ties the school's single-game record and shows just how dangerous she was on the field.
For UT Tyler supporters and women's soccer fans, this induction is a long time coming. Brittany's legacy at the school remains untouchable, and now it's officially cemented in their Hall of Fame forever. The ceremony happens in March, and you can bet the Mahomes family will be there in full force to celebrate.
