Salah Commits Future to Liverpool as Spurs and United Falter in Europa League.

Liverpool fans can finally breathe easy! Mohamed Salah has put pen to paper on a new two-year deal that will keep him at Anfield until 2027. The Egyptian star's contract was set to expire next summer, but the club has locked down their talisman for the foreseeable future.

"I'm very excited," Salah said after signing. "We have a great team now. I signed because I think we have a chance to win other trophies and enjoy my football. I've had my best years here."

The 31-year-old forward sits third on Liverpool's all-time scoring list with an incredible 243 goals in 394 appearances. During his time at Anfield, Salah has collected three Premier League Golden Boots and won seven major trophies, including the Premier League and Champions League.

Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk is expected to follow suit and sign his own extension in the coming days, giving Liverpool fans even more reason to celebrate.

English Giants Struggle in Europa League

While Liverpool supporters celebrate, fans of Manchester United and Tottenham had little to cheer about on Thursday night. Both Premier League sides stumbled to disappointing draws in their Europa League quarter-final first legs.

Manchester United managed a 2-2 draw away at Lyon, but it should have been better. After falling behind to Thiago Almada's opener, the Red Devils fought back with goals from Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee, only for another Andre Onana error to gift Lyon a last-gasp equalizer.

United manager Ruben Amorim defended his goalkeeper after the match: "If you look at the season, I've made more mistakes than the players during these last months. It happens."

Tottenham, meanwhile, could only muster a 1-1 draw at home against Eintracht Frankfurt. The London side conceded early to Hugo Ekitike before Pedro Porro salvaged a draw. Spurs hit the crossbar three times but couldn't find a winner.

Both English sides now face tricky away trips next Thursday if they hope to progress to the semi-finals. For Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou, the return leg could prove crucial for his future at the club as pressure continues to mount.

The bookies still favor Manchester United to advance despite their draw, while Tottenham have drifted to slight underdogs for their trip to Frankfurt. For bettors looking ahead to this weekend, AC Milan look good value at -105 to beat Udinese as they push to secure European football for next season.
