Former Chelsea Midfielder Lamisha Musonda Says He Has 'Just Days Left' in Heartbreaking Post.

This is absolutely heartbreaking news from the football world. Former Chelsea midfielder Lamisha Musonda has revealed he's fighting for his life, sharing on Instagram that he has just "a few days left" to live.

The 33-year-old retired player opened up this week about his serious health struggles. He hasn't shared the specific illness he's battling, but his words paint a devastating picture of what he's going through.

"Life has so many ups and downs and no one really knows the pain you're dealing with," Musonda wrote alongside photos from his playing days. "This has been a tough and grueling couple of years for me."

A Football Family's Struggle

Musonda comes from serious football royalty. His father Charly played for Belgian giants Anderlecht, and both his brothers - Tika and Charly Jr. - also had professional careers with Chelsea and Anderlecht before hanging up their boots.

The midfielder himself had a decent career spanning multiple countries. He played for Chelsea's academy system, Spanish clubs Llagostera and Palamos, Congolese side Mazembe, and Belgian team Anderlecht before retiring in 2020.

In his emotional Instagram post, Musonda reflected on the beautiful moments from his career. "I've been blessed with a beautiful early stage of my life and have so much more to give," he wrote. "But so many wonderful people I wish I had the chance to thank, face to face."

Football Community Rallies Behind Him

The response from the football world has been immediate and touching. Belgian superstar Romelu Lukaku commented: "Courage Lamisha. We are with you."

Former Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia also sent her support, writing: "I sincerely hope you manage to overcome your health struggles! Thinking of you and your family."

Musonda thanked everyone for their prayers and messages in a follow-up post. "I want to thank God for the prayers, kind messages loaded with positivity and love that I have received from everyone," he said.

He emphasized wanting to be remembered for the people he met rather than the fame. "I want to be remembered as someone who didn't fall in love with the adulations, but the good people I met along the way... the teammates, the teachers, the coaches, the bus drivers."

The former midfielder ended with a fighting message: "It's for them, I fight and stay strong. Let's win each day at a time. Love you all!"

Our thoughts are with Lamisha, his family, and everyone who knows him during this incredibly difficult time. The football community is clearly standing firmly behind him.
